Plan a Birthday Party!

Imagine celebrating your birthday at the Sony Wonder Technology Lab! Private parties at the Lab are fun and can be educational, too.

Packages are available for up to 30 participants. Dates and times are subject to availability. Reservations must be made at least six weeks in advance, and a 50% deposit is required to secure your reservation. Payment in full is required two weeks prior to the event date. Prices may vary.

 

THE VIDEOGAMER

Package cost: $4,000
Duration: 5-8:30 p.m.

Does your child love videogames? We do too, and we have an exclusive PlayStation®3 and Sony PSP® birthday package that will excite any video game enthusiast. Birthday guests are treated to a private PS3™ video game opportunity in our 21 ft. state-of-the-art High Definition Theater. They can also compete against friends in our three immersive PlayStation®3 exhibit stations and six PSP® co-op game areas. Afterward, the entire group will be treated to a festive reception with food, beverages and ice cream cake. Special invitations will be provided. These parties are designed especially for children with a minimum third grade learning level. In compliance with the Entertainment Software Rating Board (ESRB), all game titles are subject to parental approval.

THE ANIMATOR

Duration: 5-8:30 p.m.

Give your child the opportunity to collaborate with their birthday guests to produce their very own Claymation animated short film! Working in groups of four, they will learn the basic concepts, processes and skills involved in creating the illusion of motion found in animated movies. Then, using a unique software program, the children will be able to create and save their stop-motion animated short onto a DVD to take home! Afterward, the entire group will be treated to a private tour of SWTL’s interactive exhibits, followed by a festive reception with food, beverages and ice cream cake. Special invitations will be provided. These parties are designed especially for children with a minimum fourth grade learning level.

VIP TOUR EXCLUSIVE EVENING PACKAGE

Come celebrate your birthday at the Lab with an exclusive, private VIP tour and reception! Explore our hands-on interactive exhibits, where you can program a robot, perform virtual surgery, direct an HDTV broadcast, design an animated character, and much, much more. Afterward, the entire birthday group will be treated to a private reception with food, beverages and ice cream cake. Special invitations will be provided. These parties are designed especially for children with a minimum third grade learning level.

LITTLE BIRTHDAY BASH: AFTERNOON MATINEE PARTY

PACKAGE COST: $2,000
Duration: 2 ½ hour celebration (times subject to availability)

Our little visitors can enjoy a private afternoon birthday celebration featuring hot pizza, beverages and delicious ice cream cake, while the museum is open. Afterward, they will be treated to a private screening in our HD Theater, followed by a fun and creative hands-on workshop! Special invitations will be provided. These parties are designed especially for children 3-5 years old.
